Organisation:

The Southern African Training Academy (SATA) is a member-based society registered in South Africa with an elected Executive Committee responsible for its governance. SATA has been duly incorporated as a Proprietary Limited Company in accordance with the Companies Act no 61 of 1973 as amended, on the 23 September 2013, bearing the registration number K2013/160670/07 PTY LTD in terms of section 14 of the Companies Act, 2008. The administrative office of SATA is in Durban, South Africa.

Code of Conduct:

The Southern African Training Academy (SATA) is one of the leading scientific and professional organizations in the African continent. The Academy assigns great importance to ethical behaviour and unquestionable integrity as well as responsibility for the interests of its members, officers and employees.
The Society’s officers, employees and members are key to SATA’s long-term success and reputation. This is guaranteed by all SATA representatives showing respect for each other and creating a basis on which value can be generated for our stakeholders. 
The respect of the Code of Conduct is critical so that the Academy can maintain its high standard of ethical conduct and how it complies with laws, binding standards and internal policies. The respect of the Code of Conduct also provides guidance on what principles representatives should base their decisions. It finally creates a culture of trust where officers and employees feel comfortable raising any issues that may arise.
